Holley Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.

Company History

In 1909 Holley Fuel Company was established by B. F. Holley, who sold ice, coal, and wood. After selling the ice company, Holley moved the business to its present location on Union Street. In addition to coal and wood, Holley distributed fuel oil. L. L. Boylston, Sr., Holley's son-in-law, joined Holley Fuel Co. in 1922 and worked until his retirement in 1968. Follwing in their footsteps, Leon L. Boylston, Jr., came to the company in 1945 joined by Bartow H. Boylston in 1947. In 1965, they started the heating and air conditioning business. The fourth generation, Lean L. Boylston, III, became a part of Holley Fuel Co. in 1978. In 1988 Bartow Boylston sold out to his brother Leon L. Boylston, Jr. and his nephew Leon L. Boylston, III. In 1993, Holley Fuel Co. went out of the fuel oil business leaving heat and air conditioning as their only business. In 1994, Lean L. Boylston, Jr., turned over the business to his son, Lean L. Boylston, III, to operate. In 1995, the company's name was changed to reflect their business to Holley Heating and Air Conditioning.
